Course Objectives
To enable delegates who have had some previous experience of projects to
understand how the PRINCE2™
(PRrojects IN Controlled Environments)
structured project management methodology might be applied on projects,
and provide an essential lead-in to the PRINCE2™
Practitioners’ Course
for those who wish to progress further.
The delegate will need a PRINCE2™ manual (we can supply
this if ordered at the time of booking the course).
Course Content
This is an Association for Project Management Group (APMG) PRINCE2™
Accredited Course that covers the elements contained in the APMG
Syllabus for the PRINCE2™
Foundation Course.
For those taking the PRINCE2™
exam we offer past-paper exercises.
Pierce Mayfield PRINCE2™
Foundation Course is completed in three days of
the course and Course Sponsors have the option of either:
a) Running the PRINCE2™
Foundation Exam itself at the end of Day Three
Some personal evening work is recommended during the course. As this is
an intensive course, delegates should expect to be away from their work
environment for the whole 3 days Outline Programme

PRNCE2™ Foundation Exam This is a closed book multiple choice exam of 75 questions taken over 1 hour. The Pass Mark is 50%. The pass mark is currently being evaluated and is likely to increase to 60%. Contact us for more information.

provided and administered by The APM Group Limited" Pre-course work
Prior to
training, delegates will be issued with a pre-course Study Pack
including:
Reading
selected chapters from the PRINCE2™ manual and answering some ‘quiz’
questions on this reading.
Pre-reading a Case Study scenario
Familiarisation with Past PRINCE2™
Foundation exam questions.
This
pre-course preparation should take up to 15 hours over the previous 4 –
6 weeks. Prerequisites
To gain the most from the PRINCE2™
Foundation Course we recommend that
delegates should have had prior experience or awareness of projects and
the project management environment, though not necessarily as a project
manager. Prior to Day One of
the PRINCE2™
Foundation course Delegates should have completed their
pre-course study pack. The course content and timing is based on the
assumption that they will have done so. |
